My Story:
My Stormy Kromer Original Wool cap arrived in mid January, just in time for a Stormy day hike in Central Utah. The hat came in just a plastic zip lock bag, which was a little disappointing to me, as I did not want it crushed out of shape. However it quickly came back into shape and looked perfect.
I immediately noticed the great stitching, the extra attention to detail, and the cool tag on the inside reminding me it has a lifetime warranty. NICE.
The had is solid, thick, and fit like a glove. I was thrilled to find that it was exactly the size I was hoping for, and lined up perfectly with the guide on their web page.
I put the hat on in the house and found it to be quite comfortable. In just an hour or so I forgot I had it on. Great job on the fit and comfort.
The hat is rooted in the idea that a hat should not be blown off, and I am telling you this one will not be. Not because it is tight, but rather it fits around your head, snugs down well, and just sticks on. It is a feeling I cannot describe, but it just fits well.
The brim is perfect, so as you can see in the photos did a great job of keeping the sun out of my eyes. The side ear pieces that fold up and tie forward give the hat a cool look, and are quite functional. I turned them down on a cold hike just this morning, and found them to keep my ears just right in 25 degree weather. Outstanding.
The hat is wool, and feels like wool, it insulated very well, breaths, and because of this it keeps you warm when even wet. This hat is awesome! It looks great, feels great and works great. I am excited to use it for many years to come on all outdoor adventures.
