Yogurt tahini sauce

Why we love this recipe

Hello and welcome to our new favorite multi-purpose condiment: Tahini Yogurt Sauce! This sauce is inspired by a sauce we had in a few different restaurants on our recent trip to France, served as a sauce with grilled meat or as an appetizer topped with vegetables.

It’s so intensely creamy and flavorful, and it comes together in just 2 minutes! We have been making it non-stop, for serving with grilled vegetables, as a dip recipe with raw vegetables, or with this tomato confit as a fun appetizer recipe. Jump to the recipe now, or hear a little more about it!

Ingredients in tahini yogurt sauce

You can make this tahini yogurt sauce with 3 ingredients in 2 minutes. Because of this, we’ve been whipping it up at every chance we get! Often it can feel like it takes forever to whip up a sauce and you end up dirtying blenders, cutting boards, and so forth. This one is so simple it’s become our go-to for everything! Here’s what you’ll need, plus salt and water:

  • Greek yogurt: Use full fat Greek yogurt for the best flavor. You can also use plain yogurt, just use less water when you dilute the sauce.
  • Tahini: This Mediterranean sesame paste is easy to find in most grocery stores.
  • Grated garlic (optional): We love it with a little grated garlic to make a punchy sauce. If you are garlic averse, leave it out and it still tastes great. We often omit the garlic if we’re serving with something that’s also garlicky (like tomato confit).
